Romans 15:13
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
We are so thankful for the joy and peace the Lord has given us these past few weeks as we’ve trusted in Him for Lucy’s present and future. Today, as we met with her main doctor, we were again filled with “peace that surpasses understanding,” as she was positive about the treatment Lucy was able to receive and supportive of our decision to not move forward with more stem cell therapy. We were given the great news that her infection in her lungs has improved and she no longer needs the IV medication she’s been taking through her port for several weeks. We expressed our great appreciation for Lucy’s doctor, the oncology team, the nurses and many who served Lucy and our family at Children’s. We are thankful and while her treatment is over we ask you to join us in ongoing prayer for the following:
- Pray for weight gain, good health (her immune system is still down), for headaches and other side effects (nausea in the mornings) to subside.
- Pray for Lucy’s next MRI (which should be in a few weeks) to be clear and free of disease.
- Pray for Lucy’s port removal (which will also be in the weeks ahead) to go smoothly.
- Ask for hair growth, for her gait to improve (one of the chemo mediation she took affected the nerves that impact her walking), and for her hearing to not get any worse (she will have a hearing exam next week).
- Pray for our marriage and family as we do our best to resume a more “normal” routine! We are exhausted in very way and each of us have been impacted differently! Pray for grace for each day…for love, wisdom in parenting, and for rest!
Thank you for your amazing support and prayers…for the meals (we no longer need these but want you to know how incredibly grateful we are for them), for the texts, calls, visits, gifts, and more! We have been blessed beyond!
