Lucinda’s Story

Site created on August 28, 2023

Welcome to Lucinda’s CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated on Lucinda’s progress.  Thank you all so much for all of the prayers, words of encouragement and loving thoughts that you have shared so far.

Lucinda had a liver  biopsy Tuesday on a small spot that looked like cancer and they performed a procedure to cauterize the area. The next afternoon she was experiencing internal bleeding from the liver so Wednesday night they had to go back in. This happened again Thursday afternoon. She was doing much better Friday and Saturday, but overnight Saturday she started bleeding internally again.  After they went back in Sunday morning she started bleeding a lot and her abdomen filled with blood causing pressure on her lungs and kidneys.  As of the morning of Sunday, August 27, she is unconscious, on a ventilator, they have induced paralyzation to keep her from trying to breathe on her own and she has significant fluid retention and limited kidney functionality (not a good combination). At the moment she is improved a little, but still extremely serious. Please keep her in your prayers.
