Lucas was one of those kids we first met at a conference who we fully expected to see year after year. While his passing was a great shock to us, the resilience of his parents is an inspiration. Thank you for your commitment to telling our stories.

You were such a cool young guy. Thinking back I wish I had not scared you on take off from PDX. You had the best parents any person could have. You all fought the best fight, and you were fearless in that. I can see your smile right now.
