Journal

The December 13th blog entry was LuAnn's last blog.  She did have a nice Christmas celebration with her family despite being in a lot of pain.  A couple days after Christmas the pain, shortness of breath and heart racing finally drove her to going to the hospital and from there it was one thing after another.  She was diagnosed with multiple pulmonary emboli and when they attempted to resolve that with blood thinners it caused bleeding of the lesions in her brain.  From that point it seemed like everything they tried to do to fix something caused problems in another area. At her last appointment she was told that by the results of her bloodwork she was in DIC which means Dissiminated Intravascular Coagulation meaning she had a blood disorder that causes her to have abnormal bleeding and multiple small blood clots throughout her body at the same time.  In most cases DIC leads to multiple organ failure and death.  LuAnn passed away around 2am on Feb 12, 2009 in her bed at home on O'Connor Rd. in McDermott, OH.  She left behind a Son Connor age 4, A husband Mike and her mother Robin as well as many more loving friends and family members.
LuAnn wanted nothing more than to be able to be Connor's mommy and be there for him and watch him grow up.  The one promise I made to her is that I would make sure he knew her.  I will never forget the wonderful person and best friend LuAnn was to me.  I plan to keep her memory alive and as fresh in my mind as I am able to and when Connor is old enough I plan to share with him what I knew about his mommy.

I may share a few more journal entries, letters and writings of various stories and thoughts that I remember and that LuAnn wrote to me in private messages and comments as well as to other people, so check back for updates.

Loving and missing LuAnn always.
