Journal entry by Grace Toebes

Ed Toebes here.

Scripture declares the number of our days on earth is already known by God and that none of us will live one minute beyond the time God has already given each one of us.

Laurie's minutes ended and she went home.   On Friday,  April 22 she will be celebrating her first heavenly birthday.

While we are sad she is gone, we also rejoice in her going to be with the Lord.  She was not afraid to pass as she had great faith.

Her ascension to Heaven calls for a celebration!!!!!!!!

The kind of celebration she would have wanted.  Food, fun, horse riding for the kids.......so we cannot disappoint her.............

Alex, Grace and I invite you to our home at 1818 Granville Road, Cedarburg, WI on July 9, 2022 beginning at noon to enjoy fellowship with one another.

I was toying with the idea of having a full on pot luck.  That sounded like a fair amount of coordination and work - I made the executive decision we will have a hog roast.

Who doesn't love a hog roast (besides Vegan's and Vegetarian's of which there will be several in attendance)?!?!?!?!

I am providing the hog, buns, gallons of Sweet Baby Ray's, coleslaw and potato salad.

Alex and Grace will hit Otto's with the goal of providing a wide variety of beverages from water and soda to adult (along with my credit card).  I am sure they will not disappoint.

Now......I am not a fool (contrary to the eyes rolls in the background happening now):  Even if I strictly forbade people from bringing dishes to pass, Laurie's friends would ignore me and bring them anyway.

So - BRING THEM ON!!!!  Keep in mind there is NO obligation to bring anything.  If you want to, that that is a YOU decision.  I am good with strawberry soda and pork sandwiches.......

We will need chips, deserts, Jello (there is always room for Jello), vegetables, fruit, cookies, etc.

Feel free to message us on what you want to bring.....but know the only thing required is your presence.  FB Messenger is probably your best bet for communicating.

Please: NO LAST MINUTE MINI CUP CAKES FROM WALMART.....they are barely edible in my opinion.

See you in July.

Ed
