After approximately one year, my Petscan results show much improvement. The disease is overall less active. Some lesions appear to be dying off where some new ones have developed in my bones. My oncologist acknowledged that my holistic approach has proven very effective.
I will probably commence a second round of targeted treatments which target the HERS2 component of my triple positive breast cancer. Most of the activity is seen in the bones/spine. If this doesn’t show significant results I may have to do estrogen blockers (side effect thinning bones). I’m committing this to prayer and ask that you join with me. Even as I navigate through this I realize that no matter what God will do His work for his higher purpose and to His glory which goes way beyond my life.
I want to thank all of my family, friends, brothers and sisters in Christ for your faithfulness, your prayers, your words of encouragement, your hugs, your thoughtfulness and steadfast love. You have ministered to me in so many ways. Thanks to Julie Catron, Deb Allison, and Michelle Gregg for the recent gift basket and for setting aside a time to pray together for me. The German devotional was an answer to a very recent meditation and the DVDs on the Pilgrims Progress was similarly God’s very timely provision. Many thanks also to Lisa Curren who faithfully checks in with me and my upmost gratitude to Xandra Urban, Tina Spindler, Michelle Mangles, Jeannine Chabala, Ann and George Thompson, Cindy and Lyle, and Angela who have generously contributed financially to my healing protocols. The list is not conclusive and if i have failed to mention you specifically here it is not because your contribution wasn’t just as valuable. Thanks also to all who were involved with the meal train. Thanks to Amanda and Angela for flying in to take care of me when I couldn’t take care of myself. Thanks you Anne Marie and Magda for running errands and helping me wrap my head around this whole thing. Thank you Michelle for your guidance and wisdom - you are being used by God to heal my body (Amy, you too). Thanks to Bethanie for caring and putting my needs above your own at times.
My journey continues and I’m probably in this for the long haul. Good thing God does not grow weary. Good thing I am not my own. Good thing He has seen it fit to refine me through this trial which is proving over and over again to be a blessing!
