This is a post from Lauren: hi, I felt like this story needs to be shared. April 29th I was on my way home from a bar at 3 in the morning, and while I don’t remember anything from that day, I was told that on the way to school I sat out the window and fell out and slammed my skull into the cement. I was knocked out right after that and I was told there was blood pouring out of my skull and both of my ears at the same time. At 3am, even though we were on a road in the middle of nowhere, there happened to be a lady that was on her way home from work. She stopped and helped the boys I was with position me the right way to make sure I didn’t bleed out from my brain until paramedics got there. This is what I see as truly a miracle from God, because I was also informed she was supposed to be home by 12:30am that night but ended up leaving way later. Then, I was air lifted to the ICU in a helicopter and put straight into brain surgery to remove my skull and relieve pressure. My parents came to Florida as soon as they could, and the doctors informed them that I was legally brain dead and only had a 15% chance of survival. They also said I would most likely be in a coma and the hospital for at least a whole year. That being said, I had a miraculous recovery. God is the only person I can credit this to. I was out of the ICU in 4 weeks, and in  a rehab hospital for 2 weeks. I was supposed to be in both for much longer than I was. The amount of doctors that have told me I’m a medical miracle gives me so, so many chills. It just proves how much prayer can work and how much I am a daughter of God, and He saved my life. I am now currently back in Texas and doing very well. I’ve been cleared from all rehab, and I just got another surgery 3 days ago to put my skull back in which also went “beautifully” according to the surgeon. I am so incredibly grateful for all the miracles produced during this whole thing, and I know I am so blessed by God. I just wanted to share this story so it may help those unsure about their beliefs or even questioning their faith, because I have been there many times before, but this showed me clearly we are all children of God. ❤️
