Myleigh-Lou’s Story

Site created on May 30, 2023

On Sunday, May 28, 2023, sweet, sassy, beautiful, bright little, Myleigh (“Lou”), and her neighbor, Keigan, were involved in an accident when the ATV they were riding was struck by a car. Unfortunately, sweet Keigan went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, May 30th. Lou is stable, but still in ICU facing a long uphill battle. This girl is tough as nails, but she needs all the prayers she can get right now and in the days to come. Pray for a quick recovery with no lasting effects and for peace for her mama and her loving family.

Journal entry by Casey Loper

Today’s adventure with Lou consisted of a trip to the ophthalmologist.
Since she did sustain facial fractures, they were worried about the back of her left eye and some scratches to both eyes. They wanted to do a follow-up after she was discharged from the hospital so they could get a better look.
The doctor looked and looked. From what he could see, NO DAMAGE to her eyes or her optic nerve! From our understanding, the damage they were worried about is no longer! This is awesome news! They will do another follow-up in a couple months.
Lou also got a new walker, one with wheels! This walker makes it easier for her to walk with. She is showing improvements everyday and we are beyond blessed!
We appreciate all the prayers and ask that you continue to send them our way and to Keigan’s family.
