Christmas 2023

Merry Christmas from the Welch’s

2023 has been a year of milestones and moving forward while navigating the road of grief.  It has not been easy.  At times the second year of grieving the loss of a loved one feels more painful and challenging.  While at the same time, we have more moments of hope and glimpses of joy than the previous year.

The highlight of this year was the marriage of Sam and Kristina. It was a joyful celebration with family and friends!  We certainly missed Lori’s presence, but her spirit was with us.

Aaron is a Jr in HS this year, competed in his first power lifting meet and did very well.  Anna is a sophomore in college, lives near campus now and received a full scholarship to UCCS. Sam and Kristina live nearby while Sam continues his studies and Air Force ROTC at UCCS.  Caleb is growing into his management role at work and progressing with his musical pursuits.

We have also enjoyed traveling to Oregon to spend time with family, outings to the mountains, and multiple parties at the house with Caleb’s band playing live music.

Being able to share big and small moments with the family together has helped us all move forward through our grief journey. We are keenly aware of how precious this time together is. Thank you to everyone who has supported us through this journey and those who continue to encourage and pray for us.

We look forward to spending time with as many of you as possible and have HOPE as we move into 2024.  We pray you too will experience the GRACE of Jesus this year.
