Journal entry by Lori Starr

On May 6th I had a CT  of my abdomen and pelvis.

The CT showed excellent response to chemotherapy. So chemo is doing its job!! There is significant shrinkage of the cysts on my ovaries and the tumor on the liver has decreased in size compared to prior Ct.  And there is  improvement of omental caking and peritoneal carcinomatosis (that's the thin layer in the abdomen that covers your organs)  but there is still some residual disease along the anterior mesentery the lower abdomen. But I don't think I could have gotten any better news!

I got the results back from a genetic testing that I did and I am BRCA 1 positive, this is more than likely why I got this kind of cancer.

Then on May 7th I had my 3rd round of chemo. Everything went well.  My numbers were really good. Dr Darbynian said that she was expecting them to be lower than what they were so she was very pleased.

I rested all weekend long I was pretty tired and I kept the nausea under control with meds.  Today is Monday and I am still weak so I am still resting!

Thanks for all the prayers they really are helping!
