Lori’s Story

Site created on January 25, 2023

On January 11th, 2023 I was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer and a second mass in my peritoneum. I was devastated. You never think you would get cancer, but it can affect anyone at any time. I have family, faith and friends behind me to help me stay strong and positive.  Which I am very thankful for. I am following with Minnesota Oncology and feel very confident in my care team. On January 24th I had a biopsy of the peritoneal mass and still waiting on hearing results of that. The good news is that this is not attached to any other organ. So they are hoping to remove this when I have a total hysterectomy after my first round of chemo. I will be posting or my friend Alicia will be posting updates as we get new information.

Thankful for all your thoughts and prayers.
