Journal entry by Devlyn Brooks

Dear friends and loved ones ...

We are very grateful for all of the love and support that you have shown us during these past couple of weeks. It was a true testament to how beloved our mother was.

The services have now been held; our families members have now, or are now, traveling back home. And we're saying prayers for safe travels for everyone. And now we turn to the business of paying it forward.

As a family, we discussed Gma Lois' legacy quite a bit in these past couple of weeks, and first and foremost was how grateful she was to all of the important people in her life. ... And you friends and loved ones are the important people in our life.

I hope to add a few additional posts to document some of the love and appreciation we've felt during this difficult time. And I will do so in the coming days.

For now, I wanted to add this to this string for those of you unable to join us for Mom's funeral service. If you click on this link, and scroll to the bottom of Mom's obituary, you will find the video of the service.

Thank you again for all that you have done for our family. Your kind words and gestures are comforting. Blessings to you all!
