Journal

I am happy to tell everyone we have officially ended the most difficult journey of our lives, Lizzy has  been discharged from the Minneapolis Children's Cardiac Unit.  Lizzy had an ECHO done on Friday (12-13).  Dr. Chu (Lizzy's cardiologist) said her heart looked perfect and you would never know the trauma her heart went through 3 months ago.  Although he could not tell us what it meant for her in twenty years (because stress cardiomyopathy is so rare in someone Lizzy's age) he was extremely optimistic that it would hold no future impact.

This has been the most difficult journey we have ever gone through but we feel so blessed.  We are still in awe at the number of people who held Lizzy and our family in their hearts.  We will only let this journey make us appreciate more, build a stronger faith and make our family stronger.  We are beyond blessed to live and have the support of this community.  Everyone who offered us support made this journey a little easier.  For every prayer sent up in Lizzy's name, every meal and snacks delivered, donation given, text, email and facebook message of support, visit to the hospital, t-shirt bought, help with the kids when we were at the hospital and every prayer chain she was put on we will be forever grateful.  Words can't express our appreciation to everyone.  Our hearts are full.  Thank you.

We wish everyone reading this a very blessed and Merry Christmas.  I want to end my final Caring Bridge with a bible verse that got us through some of the most difficult days.
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." ~ Isaiah 41:10
