Lisa Ann Moonen passed away peacefully on the morning of Sept. 3, 2020, with her sister by her side, at the CentraCare Hopsital in St. Could, MN, after suffering a debilitating stroke Aug. 22.

She was born May 2, 1965, to LeRoy and Marie (Weibel) Moonen of Watertown, MN.

Lisa never married, however, she spent many years with her life partner, Ted Rassatt, and had one son, Brandon Moonen.

Lisa worked several jobs in the circuit board industry for both Advanced Circuits and Honeywell. She loved serving others and also spent time bartending and waitressing, but spent the last several years working for Whitefish Lodge & Suites in Crosslake, MN.

Lisa enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and was a very loving and caring person. She will be remembered for her wet, sloppy kisses to everyone and her famous last words of “See you later hun!” Lisa is often referred to as the most kind-hearted and loving person that folks have ever met.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Marie (Weibel) Moonen; her grandparents, Ben and Bernice Moonen, and Edward and Emma Weibel; aunt, Dorothy Muckenhirn; and uncle, Willard Baumann.

Left behind to cherish Lisa’s memory are her life partner, Ted Rassatt; son, Brandon Moonen; daugther-in-law, Kassandra Moonen; and granddaughter, Harper Marie Moonen; her four siblings, Gail Miller-Schmeeckle, Kevin (Michelle) Moonen, Colleen (Greg) Litfin, and Brian (Melanie) Moonen; seven nieces and nephews: Kaitlyn, Adam, and Trevor Moonen; Carissa (Chase) Sievers; Nicole (Patrick) Honl; and Bryce (Jasmine) Litfin; and Connor (Sarah) Litfin; four great-nieces and nephew: Carter Auspos, Ava and Aubrey Sievers, and Audrey Krueger; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbors, and friends.

Lisa was deeply loved by her family and community and will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life will occur Saturday, Oct. 3, from 3:00pm to 7:00pm, at the Manhattan Beach Lodge in Crosslake, MN, which is part of the Whitefish Lodge & Suites, where Lisa worked. All family and friends are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
