Lisa’s Story

Site created on February 10, 2019

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.   All donations given to CaringBridge are to support the website but do not go to Lisa.  A donation site will be set up soon!

Friends and family of Lisa have set up this website to keep everyone updated on her current diagnosis of esophageal  cancer(#sucks).  We all know how much Lisa is loved and supported.  She so humbly has been a source of love, laughter and endless support to all of us and now we stand with her in her fight.  We believe in miracles, we believe in healing power of prayer, love, and positive words and actions.
Lisa has tremendous support from her family, friends, her employer and all the wonderful students who love her.  We know she will fight and conquer!!
Tomorrow Lisa will have a PET/CT scan!! Stand together for prayer at noon that the findings will reveal the best news possible.   On Wednesday more test results will be received and a treatment plan established.   We asked Lisa today, what do you need? how can we help?  She said, please just keep being yourselves, laugh when something is funny, cry when you need to, say what is on your heart, share your own struggles and celebrations!!  Lisa has an energy, sense of humor and love so big its contagious!!  We give glory to God!  Please feel free to share your thoughts, every encouraging word adds to the strength of the wall of healing we build!

Journal entry by Ronnette Pueliu

Hi Everyone,  once again thank you so much for your prayers!! Lisa is home resting.  This morning she had a stent placed in her esophagus.  The procedure went well, thank God, but she is very tired and in pain.  The doctors have said this is normal and she should feel better in a couple of days. Lisa is asking for time of quiet rest.  She loves everyone of you but would like a couple days without visitors.  She will let us know when she is ready for company again.  Keep praying the stent is helpful in her ability to eat solid food and gain strength for the next leg of this fight.  Feel free to contact me if you have any questions!! I know everyone is concerned.  Keep the Faith!!
