Lisa went home to be with God early this morning.  As she prepared for this final step of her beautiful journey, she focused on the girls and I.  This will come of little surprise to those who knew her at all - friends, family, or hundreds of students she taught over the years.  Lisa dedicated her life to sharing her heart with others.  She didn't just teach ABCs and colors in kindergarten, she taught her students to love each other, love themselves, and love learning - she cared for them as they were her own. 

We can be very proud of her for never giving up the fight - if her body would have allowed it, she would be taking treatments to this day.  We were blessed to take care of her at home and be by her side to say goodbye.  We are certain that God already has her working hard, but she had a head start doing God's work as a Mom, wife, sister, daughter, and teacher.

I ask that you pray for comfort, guidance, and strength as we process her loss.
