Lisa’s Story

Site created on July 12, 2021

Lisa is an extraordinary Realtor at Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby's International Realty. She is one of the strongest people I have ever known and is the epitome of class and elegance. Sometimes unexpected things happen in life, and the only way we can survive them is support from our family, friends, co-workers and sometimes even our clients.

Lisa is a having a very challenging time just now with a form of osteo cancer that doesn't respond to radiation or chemotherapy. She has had several surgeries now and has a lot of recovery and rehabilitation ahead. I know without a shadow of doubt she will shine brighter then ever.

Hello All,

I went in on Wednesday for my Weekly Prosthetic appointment.  this week they did a casting to start building the Socket. Wow!! I had to stand on 1 leg for 30 minutes. I could hold onto a bar, while  Standing on 1 leg . my gluts and Quads were rock solid, while I was standing.. The technician said they have never had anyone, who could stand while they did this process. Most people are too weak , and have to lay down, while they build the casting. The technicians were super excited.. I am Thankful for all my workouts with my trainer,  when I was able to work out.. It's paying off now. Never know what God is building you up for.  I have very strong Legs, well one leg.. I had asked the technician about signing up for the driving class. She told me, I didn't need to take the class, to just practice driving with my left leg, and to start in a big parking lot. You know me we left the office, and headed over to the first big parking lot. Guess what I drove today on 85/75 Freeway to 285 freeway I'm a pro!!! No task to big for me. Whatever I set my mine to, is going to happen. Next task is learning to walk on my new leg!!! Let's do this!!!
