Lindsay’s Story

Site created on April 19, 2023

Hey everyone! We felt that this is a great platform to give everyone updates about Linds' upcoming journey! The bronchoscopy revealed a tumor in the lymph node of one of her lungs. They did a biopsy as well, which came back cancerous. We have met with an oncologist here in Austin and she gave us some news that helped ease our mind a little. It is a slow growing cancer that doesn't typically spread. Her Brain MRI came back good, so that was great news as well. Lindsay and I are heading to MD Anderson in Houston on Sunday to get an additional couple of tests and meet with one of the surgeons that we are considering. As we learn more, I will update the page. So many of y'all have reached out with prayers, kind words, and positive vibes, and for that we are incredibly grateful! Keep them coming!

Journal entry by Lindsay Lancashire

Good afternoon, everyone!

Lindsay has just been discharged from the hospital, yay! She has a follow up appointment on Thursday morning, then hopefully she will get to go home to Austin and see her babies!!!

Thanks again for all of the well wishes, flowers, meal train donations, etc. We will forever be grateful. The staff at MD Anderson was top notch! Her surgeon came and checked on her every day, even his days off.

We still have a lengthy road to recovery, but everything has gone well so far! Linds is a true warrior!

Cheers!
