Newest Update

Journal entry by Hud Labaree

Again it's been awhile since my last update, sorry. Last week Lindsay's condition had taken a turn for the worse. She had another "Brain Bleed" that had thrown her into a tail spin. Although they were able to control/stop the bleed they felt she would be unable to tolerate another brain surgery and that her condition was not going to improve. We went over and talked to the Doctor and it was decided, that after a "gut wrenching/ heart breaking"discussion, that she should be taken off of "life support" and let nature take its coarse. They told us that it wouldn't be long after that stopped that she would pass. Jean, Lora and her brother Blair were there with her at the end. I stayed home with her boys as they decided they wanted to remember their Mom in better times and not see her like this. Lindsay peacefully passed away on Tuesday January 7th around 11:00 in the morning. It was exactly 5 months since her surgery. We hold comfort in the fact that she is no longer suffering and has gone to a better place. We will have a "Celebration of her Life" at a later date. In lieu of flowers you can make a donation, in Lindsay's name, to the "Angioma Alliance".
I want to Thank everyone who have followed Lindsay's journey the last few months and offered your love and support to Lindsay and our family.
