Newest Update

Journal entry by Mandy Cowee

I took lindsay to follow up with her plastic surgeon that stitched the laceration on her forehead while she was in icu.  He says it's healing nicely, however it could take 4 to 6 months to completely heal.  She doesn't like how it looks, so she may do some laser stuff after 6 months.

This was the first doctor visit of many.

She has to see her nuero surgeon and get a CT done,

ENT for her jaw fracture,  orbital fracture, nose fracture,  and the drainage in her right ear that she can't hear out of.

Waiting on her case worker to call her back to get her therapies (speech, occupational,  and physical) started.

She has to make appointment with her primary doc.

Then a follow up with the doctor who did her clavicle surgery.

She also needs to get into an audiologist.

She also is trying to get into her counselor to work thru her anxiety, depression, and near death experience anxieties.

Lindsay hasn't been able to sleep well at night because of her anxiety, and pain discomforts.  She has constant headaches and brain fatigue.   She gets overwhelmed easily.  (Especially anywhere with alot of people or crowds.) Easily Agitated.  It hurts to eat because of her fracture in her jaw.  She can't hear out of her right ear (might still be from drainage from her craniodomy).  She says her incision on her head is numb and places on her face are numb.

Lindsay has really felt the love from everyone.   And wants to thank you all for you continued support and prayers on her healing journey.   She has a long road of recovery ahead of her, but we keep telling her to take it one day at a time.

That's all for now.  Will update again soon.
