Today is the one-year anniversary of Andrew’s due date. So, we decided to make a little cake to celebrate the occasion. After all, at his first birthday party, he wasn’t really eating solid foods yet, so he missed out on the deliciousness. The sticky frosting freaked him out then, and he crawled (over the cake) for help!
Today, this TODDLER loved his cake. He is persistent and determined. He always has been and I pray he always will be like this (minus the tantrums).
At his pediatric appointment today, he weighed in at 22 lbs, 11.5 oz. He is 30 inches tall, and (I think) his head size is around 18 inches. We measured him for his first pair of shoes. We’ll be ordering a 5.5 XW! He is solidly in 18 month clothes.
In the last few days, he has also taken his first steps unassisted! It’s hard to believe that we truly have a toddler on our hands.
We’ll be walking in no time!
This will likely be our last post on this CaringBridge site, as our boy seems happy and healthy. Thank you all for following along with his story. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, thoughts, and prayers.
