Journal entry by Luke Vettel

The sun continues to shine…

Mom has made incredible progress in her recovery from her November emergency procedure. Her incision is closed and shrunk from nearly 7 7/8” long to 4 1/2". It is likely that she will be sore for a few weeks after it is healed. The incision line won’t be at it’s full strength for even up to a year or more, and then it will only be about 80% as strong as it was before the wound. She has some areas of sensitivty and tenderness around it. She continues to be careful not to bump into anything.

Thank you family, friends, medical team for being a big part of the Prayer and Medical Chain of saving mom’s life. Dr. Jolliffe is monitoring her full recovery in Bismarck now. Mom will not be able to travel by air for 6 months due to close proximity to people. 🙂 “I have ventured out gradually. Seeing the sun rising, the  sunsets and the smiles on everyone's face, makes me smile and ever so grateful for life." Love from Linda (& the rest of us).
