May 7th- My mom was slightly active in the early morning. She was able to shower and requested breakfast.  We were able to speak with her for a bit.  

10 am- she visited and prayed with her beloved Pastor, Chris.

After her visit with her pastor, she peacefully slept.   Late in the day and into the evening her friends came to visit and sang to her and played her favorite Christian worship songs. 

May 8th- 5:45 am - my mom passed away peacefully.  Opening her eyes for the first time in many hours, she saw the beauty of heaven revealed before her and Jesus welcoming her to the place he had prepared for her. 

John 14:1

1“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God ^a ; believe also in me. 2My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4You know the way to the place where I am going.”

5Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”

6Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7If you really know me, you will know ^b my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”

We will miss her greatly but rejoice in knowing we will one day see her again!
