Journal entry by John Wojcik —
Dear family & friends, Linda & I spent time today with our surgeon,a wonderful & faith filled man. Our visit was scheduled to provide time to sit down with the doctor & his team to review the pathology report from Linda's surgery 2 weeks ago.
We have good news to report that lab tests shows no cancer cells in samples removed during surgery. Surgery report looks good & doctor & team are well pleased with the outcome of the surgery.
However to be 100% positive that there are no rogue cancer cells remaining undetected we have chosen after a lengthy consultation with our surgeon to begin a 6 round chemotherapy treatment followed by radiation for 5 weeks.
Linda & I prayed over our decision to take this next step in our journey to renewed health & a full recovery.
Our faith in God & the prayers of our incredible friends & family will make our daily challenges manageable.
Linda is a strong woman that is facing this next round of treatments with courage, faith & love of her family to move ahead each day with confidence that the love & support being felt from you our wonderful caregivers will make this journey successful in the weeks to come.
Please keep Linda & our family in your prayers during the weeks & months ahead as we experience the challenges of medical treatment to bring peace, comfort & confidence that our decision today to go forward in treatment is filled with knowing that we are surrounded by each of you & the wonderful gift of God's loving care.
In closing let me share with you how much Linda means to me as we celebrate our 47th wedding anniversary February 27th. She is the love of my life, a love that will only grow stronger as we walk these coming weeks together in this new chapter in marriage.
Look for updates in the coming weeks.
