Big prayers this week for the little bro as he begins "The Crucible" a 54 hour grueling test before becoming a marine. It will begin Tuesday, August 30th at 2:30am with a 6k hike to where the Crucible is held. They are then placed in squads for the duration of the time to develop small unit leadership. Food and sleep are limited during this time as they complete various combat exercises and mission tasks designed to push them to their limits. The Crucible ends on Thursday with a 15k hike up a steep hill called "reaper." 

As the 9/9 graduation date draws closer we are anxious to get Zach home and back with us to celebrate Mom's life. At this time the following plans have been made for her: 

A celebration of life will be held at Eastside Church in Park Rapids, MN on Monday, September 12th at 2PM. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Park Rapids. Afterward, the family invites all to join them at the family home for a reception gathering and an opportunity to share memories.
