From Linda:
I have finished my 12th round of chemo. So far so good. My labs continue to be normal and my cancer marker continues to drop to 505. I am feeling pretty good and a bit less tired. I am dropping my dosage of Fentanyl for the first time. It feels so good just to be going baby steps in the right direction. I think having some time in the garden with warm and sunny weather is great medicine too.
My grandson John had his confirmation on Thursday at the Basilica. The message was quite moving, something I did not expect. Somehow the Bishop added a great deal of humor with a powerful message of hope for an unknown future we all face.
John's confirmation and Ellie's first communion meant a lot to me. I am so proud of them and thankful my illness allowed me the gift to be there for them. What a precious gift I was given. Earlier in the year I never thought I would be able to celebrate these milestones in their lives.
