Journal entry by Tom Hamilton

From Linda:

Just completed my 10th round of chemo. I feel really good. I had a wonderful exam with normal or very near normal labs including a small drop in my cancer markers. My oncologist  continues to be surprised how I am improving and able to live a near normal life now. She is going to contact her colleagues across her country to see if they have experience in continuing the strongest chemo at the same dose for longer than 12 cycles for Stage 4 terminal pancreatic cancer with metastasis to the liver. And if so, what their experience was. Eight cycles is the protocol.

I really am really optimistic. I must have more to accomplish or I am just too stubborn to give up,  I am sure I am not following the rule book (protocols)because of my great family and friends along with a great deal of divine intervention.  I am so blessed, because life is so good.

My friends of 49 years came over from Germany. It is so wonderful to see how our friendship has become closer despite the years, miles and many milestones in our lives. Now our children are connecting as well. How wonderful is that?

I have really appreciated all of the visits, responses and comments you have made in my Caring Bridge prayers. I say it so many times, but I really want you to feel the emotions I have when I know I have so many with me in this battle.
