Journal entry by Natalie Scarpa

Finally! We are all back together in our hone again after 16 days in the hospital. We were released last night, ahead of schedule to finish the final weaning dose at home this morning and follow up with the pediatrician. Lincoln was so happy to be home - smiling and flapping his arms as we walked through the house. Everything was quite stimulating for him though and he had trouble falling asleep.

Our focus is will be on getting back to our normal routine around here and getting back on track, like getting back to or normal bedtime and wake up routines.

This whole experience was quite traumatic and scary. Afterall, he just got a common cold and it impacted him this much. It’s hard to know how to prevent this in the future, but we will definitely do whatever we can.

Thank you everyone for being along this journey with us and for the extremely thoughtful and kind words and actions. We are so grateful!
