Lincoln’s Story

Site created on July 6, 2018

Lincoln had a 3 year well check with his pediatrician in May of 2018 and she noticed a curve on his spine.  We worked it up with various doctors and eventually he received a diagnosis of grade 2 astrocytoma to his thoracic spine. The neurosurgeon was unable to remove the whole tumor and Lincoln will need chemo. We wanted to make this site to keep people updated.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Katie Haen

Hi Everyone,

Lincoln had an MRI this week and everything is stable.  He tolerated his COVID test much better this time and we are considering doing the MRI with no sedation in November.  This would be huge because he wouldn’t need to be NPO and it would reduce the length of time we would be there significantly.
In other news he got his 3rd scoliosis brace and it seems to be working well!!
Short update but it’s an easy way to keep people updated!
