Hello All!

Apologies for the extended delay again. Liam is doing great. He is back to being his sassy self.

We were able to bring Liam home on Monday the 22nd, equipped with a dozen medications, extra pillows, leg braces and maybe a kitchen sink. We were happy to head home and start healing. The doggos were thrilled to have us all back under one roof. We set up camp in Jess' room...and there we survived for the last couple of weeks.

Honestly the last couple of weeks have been extended hours of Doc McStuffins, a consistent "will you help me sit up?" or "will you help me stretch my legs?" and a lot of naps. The medication schedule was grueling. Jess was incredible at organizing the schedule, but it often required a wake up every hour from midnight to 5am. We have tapered off all medications except for his normal Baclofen and the occasional dose of Tylenol if Liam has been very active.

Liam's first check up and physical therapy appointment will be this Thursday. We will get updated x-rays and his surgeon will make sure everything is healing the way that it's meant to. Jess and I have seen an increase in his abduction and it definitely seems like the surgery was a success.

Last week Jess worked a couple of days and this week she is back to her normal work schedule. Liam is getting his appetite back and spent the morning upstairs in the kitchen with Ama. Life seems to be returning to "normal". We greatly appreciate everyone who held us in their thoughts and prayers. We feel extremely blessed to have such a loving, caring community.
