Hello All-
Just wanted to send a quick update on the last couple weeks.

On Friday November 12th and Saturday November 13th, Liam received his last doses of chemotherapy. He went into this last round looking and seeming more healthy than we had seen him in a long while. It did not seem to knock him down as much as the previous rounds had. And luckily, he did not develop and fevers and we did not have to make an ER visit this round. Quite a big relief!
Unfortunately we were not able to ring the bell, as we had hoped. I think there was a miscommunication with his team. Today I spoke with his nurse, and we made the plan to ring the bell the next time Liam comes into clinic in a couple months. We decided on Friday February 11th - which just so happens to be Liam's second birthday. What more could we ask for as a gift than to ring the bell that day and to ring in a happier and healthier new year of life for our little guy? It will be very special.

Sunday November 14th was Liam's big celebratory parade. It truly was a day that we will never ever forget. We were just blown away by the amount of family and friends who showed up to shower us with their love and support. Big celebrities like Cookie Monster, Moana, the entire Lagrange Park PD and FD and even Santa himself showed up. It meant so much to us to see all the sweet faces of all those who have shown us such kindness and devotion these last several months. It has been such a long and difficult journey for our family, but not for one single moment of that journey have we felt alone. We have been continuously enveloped in love and uplifted in prayer. In spite of it all, we are so very blessed.

On Wednesday December 1st, we met again with Mr. Jim, our ocularist. Liam received a new temporary eye prosthesis. This one a little big larger, to help hold the space and shape of the eye socket. It is not quite a perfect match, but it is temporary. We will go back again in February to get started on a more permanent prosthesis.

Tomorrow, December 10th will be a very big day for us. Liam will have his next eye exam under anesthesia, MRIs of his brain and his orbital socket, and he will be getting his port removed. It will be a long day for all of us, but will be a huge relief once all is said and done. We will no longer have to worry about fever protocols and keeping Liam in such a strict bubble once the port is out. We are so looking forward to getting to spend the holidays together with our loved ones and getting to show Liam all the fun and exciting things that make Christmas so magical. We pray that the eye exam and his scans all come back clear and we can officially say that Liam is CANCER FREE.

I will keep everyone updated on how tomorrow goes. We know that Liam will continue to be the fighter and champion that he always has been. If you have a moment, please say a little prayer that everything goes smoothly for us tomorrow.

Sending you all endless love and gratitude!
