Journal entry by Lexi Warnke

December 29 I met with a thoracic surgeon at the Mayo and she is recommending a surgery called a pleurodesis. This is where they go into my chest on my right side and scrape up the chest wall to try and get my lung to scar to my chest wall. This way if my lungs do pop again, hopefully my whole lung won't go. This is the 3rd time this has been recommended to me so we are going to get it done. We have surgery scheduled for February 9th.

I also had a CT on my chest and abdomen done to check my lungs again and to check my kidneys. My lungs are the same as they were from the October CT scan. My abdominal CT does not show any kidney masses (very good)
