Thank you for continuing to pray for our Levi. Levi is growing stronger and stronger each week. Days are still a mix of challenges and progress, but Levi continues to move forward.

Today we are celebrating Levi's 13th birthday!!! It has been such a long road of sickness and rehab this year, so we are especially thankful today for the Lord sustaining his life. We love you Levi!

Levi continues with numerous weekly therapy and rehab appointments. Between physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and pool therapy he is getting lots of good input making some great strides in his movement. Levi has started attempting to climb some stairs, can lift his left arm up over his head, and has even started playing with a few things like balls and the sprinkler for short periods of time. His legs still get very blue if he tries to stand for too long.

Levi's pacemaker battery has once again dipped down to somewhere between 1-1.5 years. We are waiting to hear more on a plan from cardiology. We are anticipating a CT scan towards the end of June to check Levi's brain progress, some testing for immunology and endocrinology in the next week, and ongoing care with Pain & Palliative to help keep Levi in a stable and comfortable place.

On a very exciting note, we completed another laryngoscopy yesterday with our ENT to look at Levi's vocal chords and airway. His right vocal chord is still mostly paralyzed, but we noticed slight movement! His left side has also started to compensate which helps reduce his chance of aspirating. Amazing! Levi's airway was also clear of secretions. This means the paralysis in the back of his airway has gotten significantly better and he is now swallowing theses normal secretions. It will be a very slow transition, but we feel much better about the potential for Levi to begin eating thick purees, learning to eat in therapy, and scheduling a swallow study.

Many blessings to you all dear friends!
