Today, I'm thinking about
Leonard "Leo" Lugo, who's been in law enforcement for more than 20 years. He's a real leader in keeping our community safe.
Leo started as a patrol officer and worked hard to become the Platoon Supervisor at Westfield Police Department. He's done a lot of important jobs along the way, like being a Detective Sergeant and coordinating against terrorism.
What's amazing is how he handles tough situations. Leo's been part of SWAT teams and handled emergencies with calmness and skill. He's not just good in action but also teaches others at the police academy, sharing his experience to help new officers learn.
Leo keeps learning too. He's got certificates in different police skills like SWAT training and dealing with tough situations. That shows how much he cares about keeping up with new ways to keep us safe.
But it's not just about his job. Leo's work is about making our community better. He's always trying to teach, help, and make sure everyone is safer. He's proof that one person can make a big difference in making our world a better place.
