Leo’s Story

Site created on December 3, 2023

Greetings friends, family and all those of you who care for Leo,
Leo went into HonorHealth Scottsdale Thompson Peak Hospital for a planned procedure to repair a hiatal hernia on Thursday, November 30. He had the procedure and seemed to be doing OK on Thursday evening. By Friday morning, he was having issues with fluid around his left lung which was causing several health issues. He had to be sent to the ICU. With that he required an intubation tube, lots of medications and a chest tube to relieve the fluid in and around his lung. His vital signs were very unstable and his body was in septic shock. As of today, he is still in critical condition, but thankfully he is more stable. He has a long road to recovery at this point. My sister, brother and I will use this site to keep all who know and love Leo updated on his progress and condition. As of right now, please keep Leo and my mom, Jan, in your thoughts and prayers!
