Journal entry by Lena Swanson

I have good news! Thanks to of all your prayers, good wishes, thoughts and healing I can now finally say that my pain is under control. Yay!
During my physical therapy session yesterday my body began to be a smidge more mobile and I was able to tough out 110 feet with my walker. I could feel things slowly start to shift. I can still barely toe touch my injured leg because of the pain but this is huge progress. They say it's very helpful that I was in great shape before the accident due to my hiking and cardio class. Hopefully this means my rehabilitation will go quickly. I've cut out the Percocet entirely and will start to reduce my MS Contin slowly as I get stronger.
This saying is painted on the wall near my room. I'm not sure I can find any humor in this situation yet but I'm thrilled to have the pain under control!
