Leighton had her big one year post OP appointment today! She had a repeat MRI with and without contrast. The area of concern where they believed it to be scaring tissue, looks to be a blood vessel. However, they are not certain of it. She will have another repeat scan in six months to continue monitoring. Overall Leighton is looking great, and continuing to meet all the milestones for her age!

We tried to take Leighton to Monster Jam in Minneapolis again this year, but ended up deciding not to go due to her not being ready. Leighton believed that if she was to go to Monster Jam she would have another brain tumor. As expected, Dr. Halvorson was the only person who could get Leighton to believe that Monster Jam was NOT what caused her to have a brain tumor. He told her, “the sky is the limit for you now kiddo!” Gifting her, her very own monster truck. While leaving her appointments Leighton asked, “when can we go to Monster Jam again mom?” 🥰
