Journal entry by Brooke Ward —
Here is an update from Leigh-
I’m on day four of the Kisqali/Femara treatments, and so far I’m doing good. I’m not on the full dose of the Kisqali yet, so I’m going to take these “good” days and enjoy them while I can! There are several side effects and fatigue is the only one I’m feeling right now.
Full dose will start next week. I go in this Fri. (11th) for an injection to strengthen my bones. I’ll have this once a month for a year, then every three months. My oncologist told me to expect bone and joint pain after the first injection, but every one after that I should be ok.
I’m scheduled to go back to MD Anderson on Oct. 30 for bloodwork and a PET Scan to see if the cancer spots are shrinking, and will see my oncologist there in Houston on the 31st.
Thank you all for your continued prayers!! Please keep them coming!
If it’s not too much to ask, could you please pray for:
1. Complete healing - all cancer GONE
2. Minimal, and easy to handle, side effects
3. Kisqali & Femara to do their job of killing/stopping every cancer cell
4. Peace, strength, upbeat attitude for me
5. Wisdom for Gary, Dr. Tauer, Dr. Damodaran, and the rest of my “healing” team.
“It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure.”
2 Samuel 22:33
Love y’all!!🩷
