Journal entry by Lee Morgan —
The ablation went extremely well. The great news is that they found the spot that’s been causing all the v-tach trouble very quickly and were able to axe it. They test to make sure they got everything by trying to induce v-tach and weren’t able to. So fast and simple, just like most of the guys I used to date.
They didn’t take me up for the procedure until nearly 2pm (with no food or drink since midnight 😡). They put me under general anesthesia because they were concerned it might take a long time, so I didn’t wake up until the middle of the night, which is a normal time of day for me. And I’m back in my favorite ICU with all my friends, which is nice. No word on when I might get to go home, but since it was so late, I’m betting on Saturday.
So a big woo-hoo on this and here’s hoping that damn defibrillator never, ever shocks me again!
