Hi everyone - 

I wanted to send out a message of THANKS. I am at a loss of words and I am typing from the heart, but all I can say is thank you to each and every one of you for the amazing support, love and more. Today, the 13th of March is bittersweet. Today is not only is it my birthday, but exactly 2 months since we found out that Lee had lesions... bringing us down this short, but ohhhhhh sooooooo long road of where we are today. 

Today was tough, and not sure why today of all days was the most difficult for me, but I think it is because it finally set in; Lee is gone.

We are all better people, because of Lee, but that does not make missing him any easier. However, oddly enough, one of the silver linings I have already come to understand is this.... even though his death has brought an immense amount of pain and sadness, I have also had the opportunity to make new friendships and also strengthen friendships and relationships with family ... and I have Lee to thank for that. 

I am not sure how long this Caringbridge site will continue, but this is probably the last post I will do. However, I wanted to say thank you from the very bottom of my heart. Thank you to each and everyone of you for everything. I thought at one point that I could thank you all individually for the donations, meal train, gifts for Matthew, etc.... as honestly - that is what I want to do ... but as one friend said it (and someone I did not really know until Lee's illness and ultimate passing- so thank you Lee) is that "it is like drinking from a firehouse" and that to me was how I feel.. as many things came our way ... hope that makes sense! I am just so grateful for everybody and everything... but if I am not able to thank you personally - please know this.. thank you. 

Lee was one of a kind. Lee will live in our hearts and our actions and let us not forget the words he always said to Matthew ... as Lee LIVED by these words : 
"I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel" 

I am a better person because of Lee.

I thank you Lee for the last 20 years, for the life we built together, for Matthew...  you for choosing me and US!
