I know I said I wouldn’t be making any more entries. But my mom asked me to say thank you one last time.
Thank you to all of you that shared in dad’s special day. Whether it was in person or in thoughts and prayers. We will be forever grateful for the love you shared with our family.
Dad’s service was a perfect reflection of him.
As I leave you, I wanted to share something that was on my heart.
Today at church, the praise team sang, The Blessing. Which was also sang at dad’s funeral. But before we sang, the pastor spoke about the words in this song. And that God would be a blessing to all of us, and our children and our children's children. And generations to come.
In the morning, In the evening, in our weeping and our rejoicing. His favor will be upon us. He spoke about how we have an opportunity to be a blessing to those around us.
It made me think about my dad. And how he may not have had the perfect life and may have made plenty of mistakes, but he made a choice in the last year of his life to bless others and speak about God’s love. He gave hope to those around him and encouraged others to not only pray for him but for themselves. We all need forgiveness. We all need JESUS!
It’s my hope that you make a choice to follow Jesus and share of his unending love. And that that love will bless you, and your children, and your children’s children.
Love and Blessings from our family to all of you!
Please reach out to our family, if you need prayers. My dad would want to pray for you so we will continue to do that for you.
John 15:12 – This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
