Welcome to Leah's  CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.


Leah was diagnosed with breast cancer in early August.  She is scheduled for surgery on August 28th.  I wanted to set this calendar up to help Leah and her family with dinner every other night.  If you know Leah than you know that she is an amazing cook and that she loves to cook for her people.  I am hoping that taking this part from her daily routine will ease her mind.  The idea is to hopefully have dinner delivered to their house every other day between 4:30-5:00pm.  
Please click on "ways to help" and then go to "planner" and sign up for a day that works best for you.  I know their are a bunch of people wanting to help in any way, so if I need to add more evenings to the calendar that is totally workable!

Newest Update

A few changes from Leah's doctors!

Hey friends!

I wanted to update everyone on the latest for Leah.  

Yesterday, Leah had a pet scan and today she had a bone marrow biopsy.  She was also informed that she will not start chemo until September 27th.  We won't have any results until sometime next week for the tests that were ran this week.  

Thank you so much to all of you who have fed the Sheppard's and continue to support them in this way!  I know that having dinner delivered is taking the pressure off of both Leah and Bert during the evening!

I will update everyone when we find out any information.
