Sign In to Show Your SupportTuesday (April 30) I was at the dentist for 2 hours. I had a cleaning done & a permament bridge put in. The weather was wonderful & I felt like a walk, so I walked 1/2 way home & then called my mom to come get me. 😁
Thursday (May 2) I had an annual chest x-ray done & then I ended up getting a shot in my left knee. Cortisone shot is a thin substance & the one I'm getting is a "thicker" one which is why there's a series of 3. That was according to my orthopedic who apparently I talked to through screen time in 2020 (I don't remember). But she also was the one that (I believe) did surgery on both hips eons ago.
Friday (May 3) I saw my general dr & the first thing asked her was "are there specialists or clinics for skelaton muscles?" She replied "yes."
My answer then was "Please don't send/refer me to them. Whatever you can do, lets do here. I'm tired of doctors. Also, Mike talked about this w/his coworkers & one said her dad had the same thing & he had to have surgery."
Dr "he must be older, like 70's or 80's. You won't need surgery."
Me: "Mike als said another coworker had the same thing & she was on muschle relaxers."
Dr: "I can give you musle relaxers for a on need basis."
I also told her how the top of my keloid has been bothering me so she upped my Gabapentine. And also is refering me to pt so I can learn stretches & whata not. I tell ya, I'm like the "frequent flyer" when it comes to pt. I know just about all the therapists.

After all that excitement, we went to the hospital so I could "learn" how this blood sugar thing works. One problem, I didn't have one for the nurse to show me. So it was more of an informational thing & I have to go back w/the actual mechanism but my family will be coming with. They want to learn as much as they an about how to support me & whatnot. I'm so lucky & blessed to have a wonderful family (not to mention friends, etc).
And yes, Monday May 6 will be my heart's 3 yr anniversary/b-day. It's getting up there, I think. 🤔
