Our little man decided to come rushing into the world 5 weeks early. Lawson Cade Garrison was born February 27th weighing 4 lbs 13.7 oz and measuring 19 inches look. 


Lawson was born with a rare heart condition called TAPVR. 1 in 7809 babies are born each year in the United States with this condition. After two weeks of care in Iowa City; we are all home so he can grow for surgery at a later date.

We could not be more grateful for Lawson’s team of doctors and nurses in Iowa City. After a rough start in life; today we are taking home a healing boy. We truly were in the right place by being at Stead Family Children’s Hospital. I can not believe how strong our little man is. Only 7 days post op from open heart surgery and he is back to his normal self.
