Journal

On Monday, October 5th, Ethan, Tyler, and their father David were involved in a tragic jet skiing accident in Utah after visiting Zion National Park.  Ethan's injuries were too serious to overcome and went to heaven on Wednesday, October 7.

Ethan was an energetic, happy, and responsible 11 year old boy.  He enjoyed reading books, playing video games, nerf guns, doing card tricks, and loved watching cooking shows... even considered himself a food critic.  He was loved by many and his infectious personality was felt by many of his friends, teachers, and even those that have only met him a few times.

Ethan had many anaphylactic food allergies for all of his life, but never complained about having them.  He was always positive in looking at alternatives.   A few years ago, the family heard about a food allergy treatment program in Long Beach called Southern California Food Allergy Institute.  It was the only program that they had ever heard about that offered complete food freedom.  Patients travel from all over the world to participate in this program.  After being on the waiting list for 1 year....Ethan started the food allergy program in March of 2019.  In the past 1.5 years of being in the program...Ethan had already passed several nuts, seeds, and eggs.  He was on his way to passing dairy by the end of the year and another year or so he would have reached complete food freedom and able to eat freely...even peanuts!  The program was a life changer for Ethan even though he wasn't able to finish.  The joy on his face as he was able to eat more and more foods that he never thought he would be able to eat before was priceless.

If interested in assisting the Law Family, a fund was created to help with funeral expenses and furthering food allergy research with the Southern Allergy Food Allergy Institute.
