Lauren’s Story

Site created on April 5, 2024

Welcome to Lauren's CaringBridge website. Lauren's HER2+ breast cancer diagnosis will mean many months of treatments and recovery including both chemotherapy and surgery. We feel incredibly blessed to have such a supportive network of friends and family partnering with us on her healing journey. We also appreciate and covet your prayers for healing and strength for Lauren, and strength and peace for Paul and the kids (Colby & Logan). We know this will be a long haul and a long year of treatment, but we look forward to celebrating with you all when Lauren is cancer free! We feel your love and are truly grateful.

PS: We have been blessed with being connected to a local cancer support group who has donated on Lauren's behalf to power her CaringBridge website, so please do not feel obligated to contribute financially for this service.

We know the value of prayer and we know so many of you are faithfully praying on behalf of our girl -- God is good!
We just got Lauren's post-chemo bloodwork results and everything is in the normal range with her heart (one of these tests last time came back in the high range). While she is tired and easily winded, she is not experiencing the tightness in her chest or the leg swelling like she did after her last treatment, so for now no concerns regarding a possible blood clot like last time. She had a chiropractic visit today and is also scheduled with her therapeutic massage gal for Monday morning along with a foot detox. We know the combination of prayer, wholesome food (being supplied so generously by a lot of you), and the other holistic health treatments she's using are working to help her manage her side effects from her treatments.
It's a good day :)
