Laura Lassow, 57, of Mansfield, CT, died on November 3, 2020 in her home surrounded by family of complications from Glioblastoma.  
 
She was born on July 30, 1963 in Seattle, Washington, to Donald and Marilyn Cullen. She was married to Michael Lassow on June 30, 1987 in Agawam, Massachusetts at the wedding venue, Chez Josef. The Lassows’ lived in Amston, CT and Lebanon, CT before building their dream home, where the family still lives in Mansfield Center, CT.  Laura graduated from Manchester Community College with her associate's degree and later went on to graduate from the University of Connecticut with her bachelor’s and master's of social work.
 
Laura was an overwhelmingly empathic and compassionate social worker with a passion for helping people through their hardest times. She was an avid spin class enthusiastic with an affinity for travel and experiencing new things with her family and cherished friends. Being a supportive wife, a loving mother, and valued friend were only a few of the many ways that she impacted her community.
 
Laura is survived by her loving husband Michael Lassow; their three children, Avital, Benjamin, and Aaron Lassow; her mother and step father, Richard and Marilyn Williams; her brother, sister in law, niece and nephew, James, Ruth, Caroline and Bryce Cullen; her mother in law, Marilyn Lassow; her brother in law, and nephew, Lee and Jacob Lassow.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 6, 2020 at Temple B’nai Israel Cemetery, 227 Stafford Road (RTE 32), Mansfield, CT. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, please note that masks and adhering to social distancing guidelines are required for the ceremony. Shiva will not be observed.
