Welcome to Laura’s CaringBridge Site
Sign In to Show Your SupportWe’ve been busy this month of May. Family visits, Laura’s birthday and end of school. We have the photos to prove it! Unfortunately for Laura, in spite of the huge amounts of steroids she is on, she doesn’t recall a lot of the recent events. This is heartbreaking for us all. But per usual, Laura is her sweet self…with extra naps in between.
The short version of this month’s MRI is that the swelling is down in her brain and there is no new growth of her tumor. We are rejoicing!
We have several appointments to see if we can help with her memory issues: neurologist, neuro psych exam and some palliative care. Palliative care keeps all of your general care but adds in counseling and other soft care things for the whole family. It helps relieve your symptoms and stress of those with serious illnesses.
Laura will have another MRI in one month for follow-up.
Our biggest prayer is child care during the summer. Although Laura’s parents and other family can help, we also have two two-week trips planned which will make it difficult for Laura and Josh during that time. If you are able to help out with driving, meals or child care mid June or late July, we will be so grateful! Please contact Josh.
* Praise God for no new growth!
* Please pray about managing all the upcoming doctor’s visits
* Please pray for summer child care management
* Please pray for a miraculous healing which will draw many people to God!
