My name is Latosha Emanuel and Ive been diagnosed with “Invasive Ductal Carcinoma” I had a (DMX) Double Mastectomy with reconstruction October 3, 2019. Im currently scheduled for a Full Hysterectomy January 6, 2020 because the cancer that I have is hormone based. I also will be having another surgery later in the year 2020 to finish my reconstruction. 

Im currently 39 years old. I thought I had my life map out as much as possible but quickly learned that wasn't the case. Being that now I had a cancer diagnosis and I do have Medical and Life Insurances didnt think i would have problems. I figured that I was ready to take on this Disease. BUT HOW WRONG I WAS!!!

LONG STORY SHORT!!! 

~IVE BEEN PAYING FOR A $500,000 LIFE INSURANCE POLICY FOR SOME TIME (4yrs) WITH A CRITICAL ILLNESS BENEFIT. 

I HAVE BEEN DIAGNOSED AND CURRENTLY BEING TREATED FOR BREAST CANCER... IVE BEEN OFF FROM WORK WITHOUT PAY SINCE OCTOBER (used all my time on pre-op appointments prior to surgery date) IVE HAD BOTH OF MY BREAST REMOVED WITH RECONSTRUCTION AND HAVE TO HAVE MORE SURGERIES IN MY JOURNEY TO FIGHT AGAINST THIS DISEASE. 

AND OUT OF $500,000 THESE PEOPLE OFFER ME $600 AS A CRITICAL ILLNESS BENEFIT. AND CHECK THIS OUT.... JUST BECAUSE IM DIAGNOSED THEY LOWERED MY POLICY TO $200,000. WHAT CAN I POSSIBLY DO WITH $600. THAT DOSENT EVEN PAY THE HOSPITAL BILL. THE FIRST SURGERY WAS $143,000 CIGNA PAID $50,000. WTF!!!! TRANSAMERICA (my life insurance company) A TOTAL WASTE. THEY TELL ME A TEAM OF PEOPLE SIT ON A PANEL AND DETERMINED THAT I SHOULD LIVE ANOTHER 42 YRS. AND BECAUSE OF THAT $600 IS ALL IM ENTITLED TO FROM $500,000  (ABSURD)

SO NOW.... ITS CHRISTMAS TIME. THIS IS EXTREMELY HARD WITH 3 CHILDREN. They see me crying, praying, and trying to figure things out. Im behind on bills; friends and family have donated but its just not enough
