Journal

As many of you know, my encouraging, , handsome, fun, deep, wise fellow passed away last night on Christmas. He declined so quickly the last week. I am so glad to say he. Experienced little pain until the final week and the final days. I am exhausted after several months of his decline, but have felt the love of so many.
I will be in trouble for saying this, but I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the amazing love exhibited by Steve Tingle as he came daily to share scripture, then an advent series, and prayer and great discussions and early morning McDonalds egg?, sausage and cheese biscuits. ( the only food Lat like for months!). I finally bought Steve a gift card to McDonalds. And then when the 4 hour medicine vigils started and then the one hour medicine vigils started , he was right there doing it. Oh, and he was about the only one who could get Lat in the shower with much cajoling, joking, and great tenderness. I think Jesus must have been that tender ministering to the Leper, or the blind man. When Steve wasn’t there in the morning , which wasn’t often, Lat  wanted to know where he was. It is a beautiful thing to see a friendship so rare. It is a beautiful thing to see God ministering through a man. And I cannot forget Dale, Steve’s wonderful wife, who has loved so deeply, shed so many tears with her tender heart, given up time with her husband, and run so many errands. I couldn’t have made it without them.
So many have offered help, brought food, prayed, communicated, and encouraged us . Thank you, thank you. I can not reference them all. I just know we have been LOVED AND CARED FOR DURING THIS HARD DEASON OF LIFE.
